Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a Security System Engineer for commissioning, updating and integration of our physical Security solutions (both software and hardware) at the customer. Our customers are in Leuven/Brussels/Limburg in a critical infrastructure with highly secured environments.

Buildings and infrastructure are rapidly becoming a target for cyberattacks. Therefore, the focus of the job will be the commissioning (configuration, programming and testing) of the installations build at our customers.
This consists also in:
1. Thinking about optimizing customer-specific integrations on existing systems; configuration of the applications.
2. Realization of extensions and modernizations of the subsystems as well as the integrations in the general building management system.
3. Perform software updates or upgrades in line with the project or contractual agreement with the customer.
4. Provide user training of the system to the customer.
5. Checking all technical files and if necessary, have adjustments made by the engineering team.
Who are we looking for?
Both experienced engineers and junior engineers/young graduates can apply for this job. The training will vary accordingly.
6. You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Electronics-ICT, Applied Computer Science, Networks & Systems etc. or equivalent by experience.
7. You have strong affinity with or experience in security systems. Experience in Cybersecurity is a plus.
8. You would like to put your technical knowledge into practice.
9. You can work independently and are also a team player. You’ll work both with internal colleagues and external partners and customers.
10. The IT world holds few secrets for you. You are proficient with networks and server/PC configurations . In addition, you also have good knowledge about network principles, IP Protocol, communication protocols, virtual environments, database architectures and methodologies.
11. You are fluent in Dutch, and have a professional level of English .
