We are looking for a Prototype Assembly operator - Senior.
Under the responsibility of a senior prototype assembly leader, the prototype assembly operator will:
o Be in charge of the assembly of complex aerospace prototype structures, at flight standard.
o Prepare and verify the tools and tooling need to perform its task.
o Call assembly leader if clarifications are necessary.
o Validate each operation in a self-control spirit (Quality commitment)
o Maintain a clear desk and workstation after its daily work
Profil
Required Education level:
Long proven experience in complex aerospace structures assembly
Required experience:
• Minimum 15 years of experience in assembly of aerospace primary structures
• Technical Skills:
o Good knowledge at reading 2D drawings (Tolerances, accuracy, notes, …)
o Good knowledge in Operation sheet and technical files understanding
o Good knowledge of assembly tool configuration and set-up, preparation of assembly tooling, cut-out of parts from mylar, drilling, boring and reaming, burrs removing, sealants mixing and application, counter-drilling of various material (Aluminum, steel, CFRP), assembly by use of temporary clips, fasteners installation (various types), local painting touch-up, final identification, …
o Used to prepare work inspection, performed by inspector
o Attention to detail and rigor
o Clean desk after each day of work (tool storage, workstation sweep, …)
• Important Soft skills:
o Setting priorities,
o Autonomy,
o Self-confidence,
o Speaking and writing clearly in French,
o Teamwork, under the supervision of a Sonaca team leader expert
o Self-control mindset
• Tools:
o Manual pneumatic drilling machine, calliper gage, micrometre, Vernier, …
• Language:
o Good level in French or English is mandatory (read, spoken & written)
