Your Role
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you are responsible for achieving sustainable growth by acquiring new potential clients within the Consumer vertical. You will be part of an ambitious sales team and a true team player. In this role, you will have the freedom and empowerment to help determine the best winning strategy, identify the optimal customer solutions, and shape the financial and commercial offerings.. To be successful in this role, you should have relevant experience in Supply Chain and Contract Logistics. You are driven to offer the best solutions, commercially astute, and a relationship manager with a passion for building and maintain a strong network in the Consumer market. You think proactively with the organization, create new opportunities, and know how to capitalize on them.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop new clients and create and maintain a strong business pipeline through a proactive market approach, serving as the Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) for key clients.
* Develop, maintain, and activate a compelling multi-year commercial vertical plan for the consumer market.
* Manage the entire tender process and actively challenge the organization in areas such as Solutions, Engineering, Information Systems, and Finance.
* Ensure that client solutions are "unique and flexible" to meet continuously changing customer requirements, positioning us as the Partner for the Future.
* Collaborate closely with the team to develop creative solutions and convincingly present these solutions both internally and to clients.
* Understand current consumer needs and translate these into logistical services for our clients.
Your Skills and Experiences
* You have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and thinking.
* You have a proven track record in a similar position and work environment, with at least 5 years of experience in business development.
* You possess knowledge of contract logistics and selling contract logistics solutions (knowledge of (complex) automation systems is a plus).
* You have commercial acumen, recognize opportunities, and seize them.
* You are resilient and can turn challenges into new opportunities and possibilities.
* You are fluent in English, Dutch is preferable.
