Team Leader Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) in imec’s FAB Engineering
As PVD Team Leader in our Engineering department, you are primarily a specialist for this technology. You will coach a team of engineers, technicians, and partners in device manufacturing responsible for the hardware and process aspects of several pilot production machines.
What you will do
As a Team Leader, you are responsible for the daily management of a team of approximately 15 people. The PVD team supports the cutting-edge scientific research that imec is renowned for by maintaining and repairing all PVD tools in both our 200mm and 300mm cleanrooms and developing and managing the processes within them. The PVD team is expected to grow significantly in the coming years to support the ongoing expansion of imec’s state-of-the-art 300mm cleanroom.
The PVD Team Leader:
* Is responsible for the safety and well-being of everyone who reports to him or her and ensures they receive the necessary training.
* Manages the day-to-day and long-term operations of the PVD team by ensuring sufficient and balanced engineering coverage and experience across all shifts, tools, and disciplines.
* Works intensively with different tool suppliers.
* Drives cycle-time and quality improvements while meeting the team’s KPIs.
* Manages the budget of the team.
* Actively participates in ensuring we have the correct processes (capability and capacity) to guarantee imec’s long-term PVD strategy.
* Works day shifts and up to 8 weekends per year as the FAB Engineering management representative.

* You have obtained a master's in science or Engineering or equivalent experience, and you display strong leadership skills and mindset.
* You have strong experience in PVD, preferably in a semiconductor production environment.
* You possess good leadership and communication skills.
