An internship with PwC’s Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) provides the opportunity to oversee complex financial reporting issues in deals and other transformational events. With a solution-oriented approach, you’ll help clients address complex financial reporting issues in high-profile transactions. You’ll have lots of interaction with senior company management teams, bankers, lawyers and other advisers. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll use cutting-edge technologies to make a difference for our clients and our communities, both at home and across the globe.
What you’ll learn and do
You'll provide high-value advisory services in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting and reporting in times of change, like acquisitions, divestitures, capital raising (initial public offerings (IPOs) and debt offerings), stress situations, complex accounting and accounting change projects.
1. Guide clients through the various steps of a project including project management assistance, internal communications, accounting technical advice, in-house training and hands-on practical assistance in the preparation of IFRS (or US GAAP) reporting
2. Help clients apply IFRS (or US GAAP) in the context of their regular reporting
3. Your work will be mainly hands-on, but you may occasionally assist colleagues on technical accounting consultations
4. Participate in business development initiatives
5. Be part of a recognised, expert team and share our cumulative knowledge and experience with a range of prestigious international and Belgian clients
6. Work in teams with PwC colleagues from other departments (transactions, valuation, finance and performance management, etc.) to offer clients integrated solutions relevant to their needs
Who you are, what you’re like
7. In your final year for a master's degree in (Applied) Economics, Business Studies, Commercial Engineering or Finance - Accounting speciality is a plus, but not a must
8. A team player with a sense of initiative and a critical, analytical mind
9. Communicative, eager to learn, and looking to develop and grow
10. An appetite for financial reporting matters - Knowledge of IFRS is a plus
11. Available for an internship of minimum 10 weeks (full-time)
12. Able to present a school certificate confirming that this internship is a substantial part of your education
13. Native Dutch and/or French speaker with strong English language skills
