The Head of Engineering will lead the airlines engineering operations, ensuring the airworthiness, safety, efficiency and reliability of the airlines fleet. This role requires a strategic and hands on leader with a strong technical background and people focused approach. The Head of Engineering will play a key role in maintaining compliance and innovation across the airlines technical operations. As the Head of Engineering you will: Act as the Nominated Person for CAMO (NPCA) in accordance with aviation regulations. Ensure that all aircraft and systems comply with airworthiness requirements, maintaining the highest safety standards and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement maintenance standards to promote operational excellence. Monitor performance data and reliability trends to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Liaise with OEMs, suppliers, and Lufthansa Group (LHG) to support maintenance and technical operations. Provide strategic recommendations to improve technical standards and processes. Oversee a team of 30 35 full time employees (FTE). Ensure adherence to NPCA requirements and EASA Part CAMO standards, overseeing the airworthiness of aircraft, systems, and components in line with manufacturer, OEM, and regulatory requirements from authorities like BCAA and EASA. Ensure all business activities comply with applicable regulations and guidelines (EASA Part CAMO), including maintaining an up to date CAME. Assess and define maintenance requirements and instructions for fleet airworthiness, monitor their implementation, and trigger corrective actions when deviations occur. Support Line and Light Maintenance teams by addressing technical issues during maintenance and providing timely, cost effective repair instructions to restore airworthiness. Develop maintenance standards and procedures to ensure effective configuration management of the aircraft fleet, collaborating with internal stakeholders and LHG. Manage and continuously improve all procedures within the Engineering department, ensuring they are clearly defined and standardized. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive performance. Monitor aircraft system data for trend analysis, assess reliability trends, and define appropriate technical responses to address recurring issues. Optimize reliability and improve On Time Performance by coordinating operational and engineering teams. Oversee accurate reporting, tracking, and archiving of all maintenance tasks, ensuring they are logged in AMOS for both in house and third party activities. Establish and enforce a modification policy to prioritize projects that improve reliability and optimize maintenance costs. Participate in technical investigations and audits, ensuring corrective actions from quality audits are implemented promptly.
