Role Description
We’re seeking an energetic and detail-driven Lead People Partner to enhance the employee experience and operational excellence at our R&D center in Kortrijk. As part of the People & Places team, you’ll help connect, engage, and empower our people to thrive by:
* Collaborating with our India HR Services team to deliver seamless HR operations for Belgium.
* Partnering with the Belgium – Kortrijk Site Leader to create initiatives that foster connection, celebrate our values, and build a sense of belonging.
* Navigate employee life cycle activities including onboarding, offboarding and employee changes.

Responsibilities
* Own the Employee Journey: Manage the full employee lifecycle for our Belgium team—from seamless onboarding to smooth offboarding. This includes contracts, managing payroll, benefits administration, and everything in between.
* Deliver Operational Excellence: Partner with the HR Services Team in Bangalore to ensure flawless execution of HR processes, maintaining accurate records, compliance with local laws, and integrity across all activities.
* Be the Go-To HR Expert: Act as the local authority on Belgium HR policies, procedures, and processes. Stay ahead of legislative changes and keep our practices compliant and up to date.
* Create Unforgettable Experiences: Work with the Belgium Site Leader and Site Committee to design engaging events and initiatives that embody our values, strengthen team spirit, and manage site budgets effectively.
* Collaborate Globally, Deliver Locally: Align global HR strategies with local needs to create inclusive and impactful experiences for our Belgium team.
* Drive Belonging and Engagement: Lead innovative initiatives that foster a culture of connection, belonging, and employee engagement.
* Optimize Vendor Partnerships: Maximize relationships with benefits providers and other vendors to promote wellbeing initiatives that balance great employee experiences with smart cost management.
* Work Council Management. Serve as the primary point of contact for Work Council management and coordination in Belgium, ensuring effective collaboration, compliance, and communication between the business and employee representatives.
Additional Requirements
* 6+ years of experience in HR: understanding of processes, policies, local labour laws.
* Experience partnering with diverse global teams and in a shared service model.
* Excellent ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment.
* Exceptional communication and people skills: cross function and cross culture.
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in AI, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and virtual collaboration tools.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Analytical in review of data and conclusions on the story the data is telling.
* Fluent in English & Dutch, French is a plus.
* Ability to work on location 2 days per week.
