Job Description
* Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor actual financial performance versus budget, and analyze variances.
* Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
* Audit and Compliance: Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, prepare necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
* Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections, managing relationships with vendors and customers, and resolving any discrepancies.
* Financial Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations, recommending and adopting best practices.
The Successful Applicant
* Minimum of 5 years in accounting or a related field, with a strong track record of managing complex financial processes.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
* Proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of Demasy is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in English and Italian is required; French is a plus.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
* Ability to work independently and lead a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
