Head of the Drawing Office (M/F)
As the Head of the Drawing Office, you are responsible for both the entire drawing office and the comprehensive technical studies required for the assigned productions. You report to the Head of the Scenery Workshops and are the direct point of contact for management, the heads of technical services, production managers, and artistic production teams.
Job description
- As Coordinator
* You coordinate and lead the drawing office team.
* You are responsible for managing the scheduling of all studies and the distribution of tasks, considering the planning of the scenery workshops.
* You ensure the evolution of technical resources and prepare the drawing office and workshops for the digital transition.
* You propose, organize, and promote training within the team.
* You develop common working procedures for the entire drawing office, keeping in mind that the drawing office is linked to the scenery workshops and works closely with them. Therefore, you need to consider the workshops' schedule.
* You support each internal production manager by ensuring that the necessary resources are available for their production.
* You encourage and ensure that sustainability requirements are considered and integrated.
- As a Technical Manager
* In consultation with the Head of the Scenery Workshops, you are responsible for the reliability of the technical solutions chosen by the drawing office, taking into account the constraints related to performances, applicable regulations, production deadlines, and established budgets.
* You conduct technical studies of complex elements, supporting the permanent décor assistants of the drawing office.
* You prepare execution or construction plans for the workshops.
* You work in constant coordination with all involved workshops and technical services.
* You provide the necessary technical information to all technical services to ensure project coherence.
Your Profile
* You hold an engineering degree in mechanical or civil engineering or have equivalent experience that confirms your technical skills.
* Ideally, you have extensive experience in a similar role.
* You have a strong sense of design.
* You are proficient in CAD/CAM and have good computer skills.
* You have a solid knowledge of material strength.
* You are highly knowledgeable about safety standards, measures, and labor safety regulations in the theater.
* You are methodical, precise, and organized. You have strong analytical and synthesis skills and are practically oriented.
* You have excellent communication and organizational skills.
* You have people management skills and can motivate and inspire your staff.
* You are flexible, proactive, and innovative.
* You are fluent in French or Dutch, willing to improve in the other language, and have a good knowledge of English.
