Within IT Flat Europe organization, the Digital & IT Supply chain department is responsible for the IT Strategy of the Supply Chain function, including efficiency (process and system exploitation and optimization).
Scale-Up is a large IT-project within the Supply Chain domain which has a lot of integration tasks with all mills across Europe. Because of the sheer size of the project, the roll-out is managed per mill.

We are currently looking for a skilled IT Operations Analyst to join our D&IT Supply Chain team. As an IT Operations Analyst, you’ll thrive in a dynamic work environment with autonomy to take ownership of your tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing an application for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Tactical planning. This involves analyzing business requirements, designing high-quality software solutions, and implementing expert models.

Responsibilities:
Application Development:
* Develop and maintain a robust, agile application for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Tactical planning using OMP+ software (Opal language) and custom expert models.
* Help evolving the tool toward .net/Angular and the data interfacing (also in .net/Angular)
* Engage with management and experts to discuss abstract modeling concepts and implement them.
* Contribute to the evolution of our scale-up application portfolio and propagate solutions within the ArcelorMittal group.
Domain Knowledge:
* Familiarity with sales and operations planning in the steel industry is advantageous.
* Understand supply chain dynamics and production processes within steelmaking.
Requirements Gathering:
* Capture new needs and functionality through documentation, legacy applications, and client interactions.
* Translate these requirements into user stories.
Quality Assurance:
* Support software testing to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements.
* Collaborate with offshore testing teams as needed.
Business Solutions:
* Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders, providing new solutions to optimize processes.
Technical Collaboration:
* Discuss technical topics with the development team to guide the implementation of performant and future-proof applications.
* Inspire and facilitate optimal teamwork among developers.
Project Leadership:
* Over time, take on project leadership responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
Ideal profile:
* Education: Holds a master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Economics.
* Abstract Thinking: Easily connects with planning experts, abstracts their needs, and identifies relevant scenarios.
* Engineering and Mathematics: Passionate about using engineering and mathematics to solve industrial challenges.
* Agile methodologies: Familiar with SCRUM and the associated way of working
* Tech savvy: Familiar with technologies like C#, Oracle database, Angular, SQL Server, Entity Framework, XML, TFS/GIT, OO, Azure devops, and Visual Studio. Able to pick up on old and new technologies quickly.
* Autonomous Approach: Prefers autonomous development (from A-Z) while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
* Programming Experience: Proficient in various technologies (e.g., C#, C++, Python) and skilled at coding models based on business processes (logistics, planning, production planning).
