Your responsibilities
As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee the Accounting Section within the Finance Department and ensure its efficient operation. Your key responsibilities include
Operational Leadership:
Manage all operational activities within the Accounting Section
Supervise monthly closing processes for the bank, the Irish branch, and the management company
Ensure accurate and timely Profit & Loss reports, budgeting, and forecasting
Financial Operations:
Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger postings
Perform daily control of End-of-Day listings, including P&L accounts and Forex positions
Maintain and manage bank accounts in the banking system (e.g., opening, amending, or closing accounts)
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare various internal reports, such as monthly budget follow-ups and board packs.
Organize year-end closing of accounts and assist in statutory audits.
Prepare annual accounts in compliance with IFRS and local Gaap standards.
Manage Vat declarations via the Etva system.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Management:
Motivate and educate staff to enhance efficiency and quality
Provide leadership in team communication and foster collaboration with local financial authorities
Strategic Assistance:
Advise the Head of Finance and General Management on corporate accounting issues
Support the Head of Finance with ongoing projects and external audits
Assist other departments with corporate matters as needed
Your profile
At least 10 years of experience in an accounting department, ideally within a banking environment
Proven experience managing a team
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
In-depth knowledge of tax and Vat regulations
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with upper management.
Proficiency in Lux Gaaps, IFRS, and advanced Excel skills
Professional consciousness, discretion, and initiative
Fluency in English and French
Experience in regulatory reporting (CSSF, BCL) and prior audit experience would be an asset
