We are looking for 2 Aerodynamics Experts for our site located in Herstal. Let's talk about your future roleAs an Aerodynamics Expert, you will play a key role in the innovation and optimization of aircraft engine compressor technologies within our design teams. You are the strategic expert who guides and supports R&T (Research and Technologies) projects and new product development, while ensuring the performance and the designs of aerodynamic systems.Your tasks include:Providing your technical expertise throughout all product life stages: for R&T products, in development, or already in production and in service, validating team results, and ensuring the technical compliance of projects.Auditing and validating technical choices during design reviews and product validation for compressors.Contributing to the definition of R&T roadmaps by imagining future technologies and design methods required to achieve the long-term strategic vision.Maintaining and developing the design team’s expertise by leading workshops, representing Safran Aero Boosters within the Safran Group, and acting as a mentor for future generations of experts.Ensuring knowledge management within the teams by implementing tools based on clients’ feedback and training teams regarding new design practices.Supporting teams in critical projects by providing your expertise to resolve technical crises and ensuring the quality and the safety of our products. On the one hand, you will work closely with the Heads of Aerodynamics R&T and New Product Introduction to develop a strategic vision of the evolution of our technical practices. On the other hand, you will collaborate directly with our Design Engineers to ensure optimal performance of projects. And what about you?Your technical skills:An Engineering Degree, with a specialization in aerodynamics ;Over 10 years of experience in the aerodynamic design of aircraft compressors or engines with an understanding of the complete product cycle, from design to customer support ;Advanced Expertise in compressor aerodynamics, and a good understanding of the performance and operability of complete engines ;Familiarity in mechanical part design techniques and proficiency in aerodynamic simulation tools and methods;Fluent in technical English for communication with international counterparts, with the willingness to quickly acquire a functional level of French for navigating our Knowledge Management resources and daily interactions within our subsidiary ;Knowledge of aerothermal heat exchangers is a plus.Your soft skills:Technical leadership and influencing skills: You know how to convince and defend your technical choices and you suggest concrete solutions to challenges ;Clear and pedagogical communication: You can explain complex technical concepts to various audiences and make sure knowledge is shared ;Rigorous and organized: Your technical analyses and proposals reflect conscientious work with a strong attention to detail.Team spirit and collaboration: You enjoy working in a team and are eager to share your expertise to help others enhance their skills.
