To strengthen Digital Technology team, based at the HQ, in Brussels, Belgium we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Head of Enterprise Security Architecture.
The global role of Head of Enterprise Security Architecture is a Senior role within the department of IT Security, reporting directly to the CISO.
As a senior member of the IT Security team, everyday responsibilities include managing and guiding the team, cultivating a culture of security awareness and arranging continuing education of personnel and project teams to ensure security policies are up-to-date and adhered to.
The Head of Enterprise Security Architecture is expected to build relationships with senior stakeholders in the organization, and lead/manage a team of (Senior) Architects that are responsible for researching, designing, and developing innovative information security solutions that protect our global enterprise.
He/She is also required to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems and protocols, as well as best practice security principles.
What you’ll do
1. Ensure continuous strategic alignment with business and IT objectives.
2. Lead a team of architects, engineers, and consultants (internal and/or external).
3. Enhance security team capabilities by planning solution delivery and addressing technical inquiries.
4. Implement and maintain an Enterprise Security Architecture framework, ensuring adherence to defined principles.
5. Define security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements, and conduct security reviews for new projects and initiatives, providing assessments and recommendations.
6. Advise on security requirements in line with security standards, guidelines, processes, and policies, while staying updated with emerging security practices and trends.
For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
1. Security-related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc.
2. A master’s degree in computer science or Cybersecurity is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates are evaluated based on their skills and experience, as a degree is not the sole criterion for selection.
3. Over 10 years of experience in IT, specifically within a cybersecurity context.
4. At least 3 years of experience as a Security Architect or in a similar role.
5. Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture, data protection, technical design, implementations, and delivery models.
6. Expertise in a wide variety of security measures and controls along with knowledge of common frameworks like ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and ITIL.
7. Knowledge about security measures in AI environments is a plus.
