Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential extensions)
Start Date: ASAP (ideally within two weeks)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automation Project Manager with a strong background in IT and infrastructure projects. This role will focus on the integration and management of IT-based automation systems, including SCADA, PLC, and WinCC, for infrastructure projects related to traffic management systems. As the Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, with an emphasis on budget control, scheduling, and client relationships. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver complex projects, ensuring the efficient rollout of automation and infrastructure systems for traffic management and signalization across highways and tunnels. This is a long-term contract opportunity, with potential for extensions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead the end-to-end management of IT and infrastructure projects, including the integration of SCADA systems with tunnel infrastructure and the rollout of PLC-based automation for traffic control systems.
* Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring the effective allocation of resources, adherence to financial constraints, and transparent tracking of costs, schedules, and cash flows.
* Client Relationship Management: Foster strong, ongoing relationships with key clients, ensuring that project expectations are met, and facilitating smooth coordination of site acceptance testing and system handovers.
* Delivery of IT Infrastructure Systems: Ensure timely and effective implementation of traffic management automation, including signalization systems and SCADA integrations, within agreed timelines and budgets.
* Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with the technical team responsible for PLC, SCADA, and WinCC integration, ensuring alignment on both technical specifications and project deliverables.
* Signalization and Traffic Control Systems Implementation: Oversee the integration and installation of intelligent traffic signalization systems, which communicate with centralized control systems to notify road users in real-time about traffic conditions, accidents, or incidents.
* Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular progress reports, budget status updates, and timeline tracking to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that all project documentation is maintained and up to date, in compliance with company standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Project Management Certification: PMI or PMP certification is essential to ensure adherence to industry-standard project management methodologies.
* Experience with IT & Infrastructure Automation Systems: Proven experience working with SCADA systems, PLC automation, and WinCC for large-scale infrastructure projects. Familiarity with IT systems integration in the context of traffic management or control systems is crucial.
* Budget Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing the budgets of complex infrastructure projects, including tracking costs, managing schedules, and ensuring financial performance.
* Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams, ensuring that project expectations are aligned and met.
* IT Infrastructure Project Experience: Experience in managing large, complex IT infrastructure projects, particularly in the transportation and traffic management sectors.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical updates to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
* Immediate Availability: Available to start within two weeks or sooner.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in Transportation Infrastructure Projects: Prior experience in intelligent transportation systems, particularly involving tunnel or highway automation and signaling systems, would be a significant advantage.
* Supplier & Vendor Management: Experience working with external suppliers and vendors to coordinate procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Project Details:
1. First Project: Integration of a SCADA system with existing tunnel infrastructure, followed by the automation of tunnel systems using PLC technology, ensuring smooth operational flow and site acceptance testing with the client.
2. Second Project: A follow-up project (2 years in duration) focusing on similar IT-based automation and infrastructure work, building upon the previous project’s foundations for enhanced traffic management and safety systems.
* This position is ideal for a Project Manager with a background in IT and infrastructure automation, specifically in the context of traffic systems and intelligent transportation networks. If you have a strong technical background combined with solid project management skills and a passion for delivering complex IT-driven infrastructure projects, we’d love to hear from you!
