Your journey with us As a Business Analyst within Deloitte Accountancy, you are part of our Accountancy Softwaredesk team where you support our accountants, tax and legal experts as well as other internal clients with the implementation of new applications and projects.
Your role as a business analyst is to capture and document the business requirements of our internal staff with respect to tools, applications, business processes and workflows and translate them into functional requirements. Additionally, you will ensure that the deliverable meets the requirements during the testing.Your responsibilities
1. You collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define, document and communicate their business needs.
2. You create functional designs and describe detailed use cases that will be the fundamentals of new features or new automated workflows.
3. You provide clear functional requirements to the solution architect and to the developers.
4. You analyse our processes and way of working to suggest improvements.
5. You participate in assessments of existing applications and give advice on structural improvements in the areas of performance, usability, processes and organization.
6. You prepare our test cases, both for manual testing and for automated testing, and take active part in the testing of the new features and workflows with a focus on solving bugs and working towards a high quality, bug free solution.
7. You advise our support team members in case of questions, issues or incidents with respect to applications, features or workflows.
8. You communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, technical teams and to support team members.
9. You provide training and support to end-users (internal clients) as needed.
Let's talk about you We are looking for someone who:
10. Has a Master degree in Computer Science, or related field. Having knowledge about Accounting is certainly a plus.
11. First relevant experience in a similar role is a big plus.
12. Has an proven ability to analyse complex systems and processes.
13. Has strong documentation and communication skills.
14. Has knowledge about experience with flowcharting and diagramming tools.
15. Is able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
16. Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
17. Is tech-savvy and not afraid to quickly learn all there is to know about our business applications.
18. Has an aptitude for and eagerness to learning technology and.
19. Is analytical, pro-active and solution oriented.
20. Is fluent in English and Dutch (the French language is a plus).
21. Has a first experience or good technical knowledge of the below tools:
22. must have: Microsoft Office
23. nice to have: functional design/analysis, testing of applications, PowerBI, Qlik, ERP software, SharePoint and Cloud services;
