Description
* You will be responsible for the complete management of your claims files in technical insurance (All Construction Site Risks, Ten-Year BA, Machinery Breakdown) and eventually in other areas of insurance (Property and/or Casualty), from initial notification to reimbursement and closure of the file, whether or not following the exercise of a recourse action;
* You analyze the elements and facts following a claim notification and correctly enter new claim files into an internal system based on data received from the insured and/or broker;
* You appoint and direct an expert and a lawyer if necessary, while doing further follow-up in consultation with the broker;
* You report important claim files internally to the production department, management, head office and the in-house risk management team;
* You proactively follow up open claims files and continuously keep the reserves up to date according to the evolution of the file;
* After settlement, you assess the claim file on merits for recourse and, if necessary, initiate and proactively follow up recourse actions against liable parties;
* You manage claims files related to local policies within international insurance programs, including coordination and follow-up. You liaise with colleagues worldwide to identify potential problems and optimize claims management;
* You compile and discuss claims statistics in support of the production department, with a view to renewing policies;
* You regularly consult with fellow claims managers to share and gain knowledge;
* You provide feedback to concerned colleagues on the interpretation of policy conditions following a claim and, if necessary, make proposals to update the policy to better reflect the activities of the insured.
Your profile
* You hold a Master or Bachelor's degree, preferably as an engineer;
* You have a good knowledge of Dutch, English and French;
* You have a good knowledge of construction techniques or at least 5 years of experience in claims management in "Engineering lines";
* You can work in a team as well as independently;
* You are accurate and analytical;
* You have communication skills (both oral and written) and you are service oriented;
* You are eager to learn and open to innovation;
* You are motivated and stress resistant;
* You have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,...) and IT systems in general;
