The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW
We are currently looking for a Solar Equipment Buyer to join our Madrid team.
Main responsibilities
* Implement the procurement processes and frame agreements in the perimeter the buyer manages.
* Identify and develop potential new suppliers at international level.
* Evaluate the capabilities of proposed new suppliers based on products and prices and support the supplier qualification process.
* Manage the supplier relationship management.
* Define in coordination with the relevant stakeholders the sourcing strategy related to the solar PV projects.
* Manage the tender process, including bid comparison, linked to solar PV projects in the perimeter the buyer manages using the corporate tools.
* Lead the negotiation of the supply agreement and the services agreement involving all required internal expertise (technical, legal, operational, insurance, tax, etc.).
* Prepare together with the Project Managers supplier selection proposal.
* Participate actively in the market intelligence activities (stay up to date on industry trends and new products introduction development).
* Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations.
Requirements:
* Academic Training: has an academic education and good knowledge in renewable energy projects procurement and project management, feeling comfortable with technical topics.
* Experience: at least 4 years’ experience managing operational procurement processes at an international level.
* Languages: English and Spanish skills at business level (written and spoken), any additional language is an advantage.
* Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (advanced in Excel is a must), procurement platforms and SAP software.
* Excellent negotiating skills and understanding of contractual key terms.
* Demonstrated ability to work with key stakeholders in multiple global locations and at various levels.
* Able to master negotiations and draw up contracts in Spanish and English.
* Knowledge of industry trends and business risks for solar/wind equipment.
