Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage electrical revamp projects, with a focus on UPS systems, VSDs, Siemens S5 & PLC systems, and cable calculations (< 6kV).
2. Perform basic and detailed engineering design for electrical systems, including migration strategies for Siemens S5 to modern PLCs.
3. Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, and system integration for new and existing systems.
4. Support migration projects, particularly around the transition from Siemens S5 to newer PLC systems.
5. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
6. Ensure proper documentation and technical reports are created and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Collaborate with external contractors when necessary for outsourcing detailed engineering tasks.
8. Provide technical support during project execution, assisting in troubleshooting Siemens S5 & PLC systems during installation and commissioning phases.
9. Ensure project deliverables meet both technical and safety standards.
10. Maintain compliance with local and international electrical codes and standards.
Requirements
11. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
12. Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in projects involving Siemens S5 & PLC systems.
13. Knowledge of UPS, VSD systems, and cable calculations (< 6kV).
14. Ability to perform both basic and detailed engineering; experience managing outsourced tasks is a plus.
15. Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee A-to-Z project delivery.
16. Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering software, including PLC programming and simulation tools.
17. Familiarity with Siemens S5 migration strategies and PLC integration.
18. Good understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
19. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
20. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
21. Preferred Experience: Experience with Siemens S5 & modern PLC systems (e.g., Siemens S7). Experience in larger engineering projects as well as smaller revamps. Knowledge of migration strategies for electrical systems, especially PLC systems. Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
