MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FOR BELGIAN PAYROLL
Job Summary:
The Payroll Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. This role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with payroll systems, and excellent communication skills to support both employees and internal HR/Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and review timecards, timesheets, and attendance data for accuracy and compliance.
* Assist in the preparation, processing, and distribution of bi-weekly or monthly payrolls.
* Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees regarding paychecks, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
* Ensure payroll transactions comply with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations.
* Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee payroll data.
* Support the year-end processes including W-2/1099 preparation and distribution.
* Help with onboarding of new employees by ensuring proper payroll setup and documentation.
* Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure data consistency.
* Generate payroll reports for management as needed.
* Stay up-to-date on payroll practices, tax laws, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
* 1–3 years of payroll or related administrative experience.
* Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, or similar).
* Basic understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with multi-country payroll processing.
* Knowledge of garnishments, benefits deductions, and retirement plan contributions.
* Customer service-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
