Job Title: Senior Manager SM&P
About the Job:
In this role, you will work closely with the HoP to shape and implement the team and category strategy. You will lead a team of Procurement Managers and/or Specialists, overseeing their workload, prioritization, and delivery in conjunction with the HoP. This includes nurturing and developing team members as needed, supporting the HoP from a strategic and stakeholder engagement perspective, and building relevant subject matter knowledge.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage medium-to-high value/risk projects following the SM&P process and procedures manual, and support and/or review other procurement projects as requested.
2. Lead procurement processes in cooperation with operational stakeholders, working closely with other SM&P team members as needed.
3. Evaluate all procurement requests, challenging internal customers and suppliers to provide innovative solutions through detailed proposal analysis and comparison.
4. Implement commercial agreements, issuing commercial materials to suppliers as described in the SM&P process and procedures manual.
5. Manage medium-to-high value/risk contracts throughout their life cycle from an administrative and commercial point of view, following the SM&P process and procedures manual.
6. Provide guidance to stakeholders on contractual matters and support ongoing supplier management of contracts, cooperating with operational departments.
7. Manage escalated contractual claims and disputes between operational departments, support functions, and suppliers, obtaining adequate resolution when contractual terms and conditions are not fulfilled.
8. Develop and manage long-term supplier relationships by reviewing supplier commercial and operational performance, organizing regular service/performance review meetings with suppliers and business owners.
9. Analyze operational risks for agreements based on market intelligence, business intelligence analysis reports, and financial risk reports, reporting any changes or increases in risk levels and recommending further actions.
10. Leverage internal networks, collaborating with SM&P and other TUI Airline colleagues, external stakeholders (suppliers, etc.), ensuring the best input and output within your scope.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
1. A relevant graduate degree, a CIPS qualification, or equivalent experience, with a Master's degree being desired but not essential.
2. At least seven years of relevant management, commercial, and/or procurement experience.
3. High proficiency in English, with knowledge of other languages being desirable but not essential.
4. Experience in CCIS area is required.
5. Ability to manage people, ensuring successful delivery while supporting the professional development of team members.
6. Experience delivering complex projects, shaping programs of work, and coordinating activities across multiple departments or teams.
7. A commercial mindset, continually evaluating the costs and benefits of decisions.
8. Ability to maintain a short-term focus while having a strategic eye on the long-term view.
