Mission:
At SABCA Limburg, we are looking for an Equipment Engineer to strengthen our team. In this role, you will be responsible for specifying, coordinating, and implementing new production equipment within our plant. You will work closely with suppliers, the procurement department, and both internal and external stakeholders to define the technical requirements of machines and equipment, ensuring successful integration into the production environment.
Responsibilities
Specification and Negotiation:
* Define technical specifications for new equipment and machines for the plant.
* Collaborate with suppliers to establish and validate technical requirements.
* Support the procurement department in technical negotiations and participate in discussions when needed.
Coordination and Implementation:
* Coordinate and organize the industrialization and integration of technical installations and equipment.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
* Provide technical guidance and follow-up throughout the installation process.
Lean Manufacturing:
* Conduct lean assessments of production processes to determine how new equipment can be efficiently integrated into the existing workflow and work environment.
* Contribute to optimizing production processes to improve quality, efficiency, and lead times.
Take responsibility at their level regarding the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
Profile
Education:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field such as Electromechanics, Mechanics, or Materials Technology.
Experience:
* At least 3 years of experience in a technical role, focusing on production equipment and systems.
* Experience with NDT techniques, ovens, freezing installations, and building technology is a strong plus.
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong technical knowledge and experience in specifying and implementing production systems.
* Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization is an advantage.
* Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Fluent in Dutch and English.
* Knowledge of EN9100 quality standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards.
* Team player who can work independently and set priorities effectively.
