We are looking for an energetic and experienced Claims Manager who is ready to lead a dynamic team of claims staff across multiple locations. If you are a real go-getter with strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service, this position is for you!
Description
* Leading the claims staff: You coach and motivate about 20 claims employees in three locations (Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels), ensuring uniform working methods and high quality standards. You monitor the performance of the teams and intervene where necessary to achieve optimal results;
* Develop and implement claims processes: You analyze the customer base and determine the approach per customer segment, ensuring that the process and customer experience is tailored to the needs of both private and corporate customers, ranging from smaller claims to complex cases;
* Continuous improvement: You keep a close eye on the performance of the claims processes and employees, identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, and ensuring the implementation of these improvements;
* Customer interaction: You support account managers and customer relations, ensuring that there is a point of contact for customers regarding their claims portfolio;
* Maintaining relationships with insurance companies: You maintain close contacts with insurance companies to ensure timely and customer-oriented handling, ensuring the best results for the customers without losing sight of the operational cooperation;
* Manage external partners: You coordinate and monitor the quality of claims processes outsourced to external partners, regularly evaluating their performance and managing the collaboration to ensure a consistent customer experience;
* Compliance and risk management: You ensure that claims processes comply with relevant laws and regulations, internal policies and customer expectations, tracking changes in legislation and translating them into concrete actions within the team;
* Preferably 5 years experience in claims management and 3 years experience as a manager;
* Strong leadership skills and experience managing remote teams;
* You exude energy and know how to create a culture of positivity and collaboration;
* Customer focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse customer base;
* Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills;
* Preferably experience managing external collaborations;
* Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations within the insurance industry;
* Experience with Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and policy management systems.
