ESG Due Diligence Principal Consultant Role
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as an ESG Due Diligence Principal Consultant, focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence for clients in the financial services sector.
This role will support the delivery of our growth ambition and involve managing and delivering ESG and EHS Due Diligence projects. The successful candidate will also contribute to ESG management consultancy, advisory services, and sustainable finance projects.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a range of Due Diligence, ESG, and Sustainable Finance projects, ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will act as our point of contact with financial and corporate clients, developing and maintaining client relationships and securing repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Consulting Engagements: Oversee Due Diligence projects associated with medium to large-scale transactions globally, directing and compiling inputs across various technical and ESG work streams tailored to each project.
2. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, securing repeat business and generating new offerings through collaboration and innovation.
3. Project Management: Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
4. Business Development: Contribute to the development of new client relationships and expand existing ones through proposal development, written content, pricing, and client presentations.
5. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Contribute to the growth and management of a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to junior consultants.
Qualifications
1. Experience: Strong track record in leading Due Diligence, ESG management consultancy, and advisory engagements for clients in the financial and corporate sectors, including experience in ESG or EHS in various industrial sectors.
2. Skills: Professional fluency in both Dutch and English (written and oral), ability to engage with finance sector stakeholders, knowledge of key frameworks and drivers for the finance sector, close attention to detail, and quality of deliverables.
3. Education: Master's degree in Finance, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
Location
This role can be based in one of our offices in The Netherlands & Belgium (Utrecht, Rotterdam, Brussels, Antwerp) and will be part of our growing ESG Advisory & Transaction Services Sub Team within the M&A team.
