We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for one of our clients specializing in space technologies. In this role, you will play a key part in designing cutting-edge opto-mechanical instruments for space applications. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will take ownership of the mechanical design process for complete products, sub-units, and components, ensuring that they meet functional, thermal, and structural requirements.
Your tasks will involve:
1. Developing concepts for mechanical systems, considering functional, thermal, and structural needs.
2. Creating detailed CAD models, manufacturing, and assembly drawings using industry-standard tools (preferably SolidWorks).
3. Participating in design reviews and preparing technical documentation.
4. Designing tools and test setups, and providing support during assembly and testing phases.
5. Proposing and implementing design updates based on test outcomes to improve performance and reliability.
Your qualifications include:
1. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics or Mechanical Design.
2. 5 to 7 years of experience in CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks).
3. Experience in structural and thermal analysis is an asset.
4. Strong interest in working in a high-tech, precision-focused environment.
5. Team player with excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
