Description
In this role with our client, you will be responsible for building the client portfolio in the investment sector, with a strong focus on self-employed individuals and businesses. You will identify and lead the development of this business within a network of independent brokers. Your duties include:
* As this is a business repositioning itself in the market, there will be a lot of prospecting required to establish a strong position.
* You will act as the main liaison between accounts, underwriters and brokers. You negotiate offers and defend portfolios in close cooperation with the underwriter and broker.
* You inform brokers about the products, processes, services and tools we offer. You ensure that each broker and their team receive proper training to effectively sell our products and utilize our systems. You also teach them sales techniques to achieve and maintain a high number of quality sales points.
* You keep up-to-date with the general policies of our organization, industry and market developments. You maintain your technical and commercial knowledge in order to apply it optimally.
* You provide leadership and coaching to brokers, build loyalty and develop existing relationships. You also organize sales initiatives to strengthen cooperation.
* You actively participate in the negotiation of large, complex investment deals, using your advanced technical and commercial skills.
Profile
The ideal candidate:
* Is a hunter who derives satisfaction from relaunching a new business and expanding the existing portfolio
* Possesses a master's or bachelor's degree in marketing, insurance, economics, business administration or applied economics.
* Has at least 5 years of experience within the insurance industry, which is a valuable addition.
* Is an expert in investment products and life insurance (Branch 21 & 23)
* Has excellent negotiation skills and has the ability to coach, inspire and persuade others, with a strong focus on customer focus and solution orientation.
* Has a winner's mentality, seizes opportunities, shows initiative, makes decisions and achieves results.
* Speaks fluent Dutch, with a good knowledge of French.
* Has a driving license B, as the role requires you to travel within Flemish Brabant and Limburg.
