Robert Half is currently recruiting a Financial Controller to join a company located in Beringen.
For our customer Plastiflex, with global headquarter in Paal-Beringen, Belgium, where Business management, Operations management, Finance and R&D are located, we are looking for a financial controller. Plastiflex is manufacturer ofapplications for air and fluid management for healthcare and industrial products. Plastiflex operates with a footprint of 13 entities across Europe, US, Mexico and Asia. Driven by the continued growth, Plastiflex is looking to grow the finance team with a financial controller.
The scope of responsibilities for this job include:
* Prepare periodical financial reporting (accurate, timely variance analyses).
* Collaborate with local finance managers to consolidate and validate results.
* Assist in closing activities, including month-end processes and ensuring IFRS compliance.
* Support the development/maintenance of KPI dashboards and financial forecasting models.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
* Work closely with the Finance Director to coordinate budget preparation and forecasting projects
* Perform deep-dive analysis at the article/product level to ensure insights align with business goals.
Plant-Control & Operational Support:
* Monitor plant performance (margins, product mixes) across global locations with a dotted-line engagement model for plant controllers.
* Audit and manage transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance with global standards
* Train/mentor plant controllers in financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Commercial & Project-Based Support
* Provide commercial controlling inputs (sales forecasts, contribution analysis).
* Evaluate capital expenditure (Capex) requests, and perform ROI analysis for potential investments.
* Execute financial projects to enhance processes—such as supply chain cost reduction or ERP optimization.
Other Key Activities
* Oversee cashflow management, driving working capital utilization where appropriate.
* Assist or, if necessary, take the lead on ad hoc projects regarding analytics or system improvements.
* Provide occasional backup for accounting tasks (e.g., journal bookings)
The requested qualifications for this job include:
Education:
* Master’s degree in economics, finance, or equivalent field.
Experience:
* Minimum of 3-5 years in financial controlling, reporting, or external audits (Big Five experience preferred).
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and financial complexity in international settings.
* Proven expertise in consolidation and IFRS standards.
Technical and Analytical Skills:
* Advanced knowledge of Excel (mandatory) and experience with reporting and ERP systems.
* IT-minded professional, with the ability to interpret and streamline data via technical tools (Power BI is a plus).
Soft Skills:
* Fluency in English (mandatory).
* Accuracy, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Proactive, flexible, and prepared to work in a multicultural, international organization.
Travel Expectations:
* Able to travel up to 25% to offer support at the different plants.
