Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)
Within GBS, you will join the Asset Servicing & Tax and Reference Data Tribe. Your role will involve managing a series of Epics (also known as projects) and/or Maintenance Envelopes. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the initiatives you manage, which includes:
1. Ensuring on-time delivery of the Epic scope (divided into Features), within the committed budget and with the expected quality.
2. Integrating the different individual squad contributions (including cross-Tribe) into a globally consistent plan, in alignment with our Agile Operating Model.
3. Writing comprehensive Epic memos that enable the Business Sponsor and IT management to make informed decisions.
4. Providing regular status reports to Tribe Management and various partners.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
5. Develop, manage, and maintain Epic plans and forecasts, including resource requirements, costs, dependencies, risks, and their mitigations.
6. Manage virtual teams across various divisions and entities, including third-party suppliers in India.
7. Build and maintain strong working relationships with Product Owners and Scrum Masters of the contributing squads, as well as with your customers, providing advice, guidance, and options regarding IT investments.
8. Define the Epic governance (the deliverables, processes, and ceremonies to apply), and supervise the progress and quality of its execution.
9. Lead the risk, issue, and change control processes for assigned Epics, and build action plans to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and track action items.
10. Control and supervise the progress of Epics, reporting to the Tribe Management and the Sponsorship Committee.
11. Manage the Epic in accordance with Euroclear’s internal standards (methodology & tools) and our Agile Operating Model.
Profile:
12. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role, with a mastery of Agile methodology.
13. Strong leadership skills to adapt your style according to the situation and the different partners.
14. A good technical and business understanding.
15. Interpersonal skills to influence decisions made with the Epic sponsor/client.
16. Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and presenting) at all levels, from staff members to senior management.
17. The ability to learn quickly in a complex environment and to synthesize the situation.
18. Strong negotiation skills, conflict management, and influencing skills at different levels of management.
19. Effective delegation of tasks and responsibilities while maintaining overall control.
20. Assertiveness to drive tasks to completion.
21. Proficiency in English.
Assets:
22. Certification in PRINCE2 and/or PMI (or similar IT frameworks).
23. Agile Certified Practitioner.
24. Experience with functional projects, especially within IT Mainframe application development and/or cross-platform implementation.
25. Experience with an outsourcing partner/offshoring.
26. Knowledge of Asset Servicing (Custody) and/or Tax business domain.
