Description
Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Senior Manager - Business Product Owner - Data Assets (Distribution – Transportation – Customer Experience) to join our IM Deliver team located globally.
In this pivotal role, you will act as the business product owner for our data assets, overseeing data integration and governance processes that directly impact our distribution, transportation, and customer services. Your technical expertise and business acumen will be vital in driving our digital transformation and ensuring data integrity.
Responsibilities
1. Data Integration and Security: Collaborate with the JJT Data Engineering Team to ingest data from various systems (ERP, WMS, TMS), ensuring timely integration of new data sources while prioritizing data security and compliance with established governance protocols.
2. Data Governance and FAIR Principles: Establish and maintain a robust framework for data governance aligned with business priorities, ensuring data integrity, risk mitigation, and safeguarding sensitive information in accordance with FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
3. Business Insights and Model Development: Develop algorithms and reusable data objects that can be applied to large datasets, transforming data into actionable business insights that drive informed decisions and strategic initiatives.
4. Reporting and Communication: Generate and present technical reports, memoranda, and updates on project status to senior management, ensuring clarity and transparency in communications.
5. Mentorship and Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior colleagues in data curation techniques and processes, providing functional supervision to foster their professional development.
6. Strategic Project Management: Manage complex, strategically important projects involving cross-functional teams to achieve operational and business targets with measurable impact on the Data Engineering results.
7. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Data Engineering strategies by developing replicable solutions and integrating them into future projects to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Integration with Leadership Values: Incorporate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and collaboration.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related discipline, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences sector.
3. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and principles, particularly the FAIR principles.
4. Experience with integrating various data systems and platforms (ERP, WMS, TMS).
5. Proficiency in programming languages and technologies used in data processing and analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
