On behalf of Open Thor Living Lab, we are looking for a Program Manager Infrastructure:
Open Thor Living Lab (www.openthor.be) is a top level European innovation environment that focuses on innovative solutions for the energy transition.
To achieve this, EnergyVille (a collaborative initiative involving the renowned Belgian research partners VITO, KULeuven, IMEC, and Hasselt University), Thor Park, and the City of Genk have joined forces to create an unparalleled ecosystem with a state of the art infrastructure in which innovative energy solutions are developed, tested, and ensure an accelerated market entry in unique interaction with scientific institutions, companies, education, governments, and local citizens.
We are looking for a Program Manager Infrastructure who wants to be part of this unique ecosystem and state of the art connected and real life infrastructure allowing research and private partners to test novel energy solutions, accelerating innovation, valorization, and go to market.
Your Role:
As the Program Manager Infra, you will oversee and drive the further development and management of the state of the art infrastructure at the Open Thor Living Lab (OTLL) via multiple projects in parallel.
You will be at the forefront of transformative projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and research organizations to make a real impact.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Managing and maintaining our existing infrastructure investments and operations, covering all aspects from scoping and construction to planning and ongoing upkeep.
2. Leading infrastructure expansion projects, ensuring safety coordination and seamless project & budget management during construction to enhance the lab''s capabilities.
3. Supporting the usage of our infrastructure in cutting edge research or industry projects alongside our dedicated research partners.
4. Fostering active collaboration with a diverse mix of teams and organizations within OTLLs vibrant and innovative ecosystem.
Your Profile:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional who:
1. Brings 10+ years of experience in (large) construction projects.
2. Has proven expertise in technical project management, particularly in infrastructure or HVAC and electrical installations.
3. Has knowledge of energy technology, including systems like electrical or thermal. (Nice to have)
4. Demonstrates experience in stakeholder management, working with research and project partners. (Nice to have)
5. Speaks and writes fluent Dutch and has an excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
