At Water Experts, we provide consultancy services on a integrated water-management approach for efficient use/reuse of water for industries.

As an automation engineer within our growing company, your job description is broad and challenging. For our technology department, we are looking for a PLC programmer who supports IoT development for our water purification units for drinking water and process water production. It is not a requirement to have experience with IoT, although it is a plus. It is especially important that you are flexible, independent, and eager to learn.
You will:
1. Optimize and monitor the standardization within the software.
2. Develop software for new installations and maintain/optimize the software for existing installations.
3. Design and improve user interfaces and HMI.
4. Do PLC programming with Wago (Codesys) and have knowledge of Siemens.
5. Work in an engineering project team on industrial projects.
6. Set up data capture, visualization, and reporting in the PLC for correct transfer to the cloud.
7. Develop and maintain remote management of installations via VPN.
8. Set up routers and configure them in the installations for remote monitoring and control.
9. Be involved in (co)development of new IoT devices and applications.
10. Work closely with the design and R&D department to improve the designs of new and existing installations.
You should have:
1. A technical degree (A2 or Bachelor in Electromechanics) or a degree in ICT.
2. Experience with PLC software (preferably Codesys, but also others such as TIA Portal, TwinCAT, etc.), Java, .NET, C, Python (not required but a plus).
3. Knowledge of networks and industrial communication as well as Office Apps.
4. An interest in industrial automation and relevant experience.
5. An interest in IoT and new developments in this area.
6. Fluency in English and Dutch (all software and comments are written in English).
