Post Europ unites its members and promotes greater cooperation, sustainable growth and continuous innovation.We are currently looking for a trainee/intern starting 4th of November 2024 for the duration of 10 months. The selected candidate will support the activities of Post Europ’s Digi Gree NPost Project The position offers an excellent practical learning experience to those with an interest in overall Project Management, specifically in Projects Communications and Projects accounting domain.The placement will be in our offices in the heart of the European quarter in Brussels. The Internship will offer professional experience and a vibrant working environment.Digi Gree NPost ProjectThe Digi Gree NPost project intends to bring resilience to the postal industry through the provision of upskilling for postal employees in green and digital competence areas, acting as an enabler towards the implementation of digital and green policy agendas, building the understanding of the importance of digital and green-related jobs throughout the sector.The project will achieve this goal through the following activities: a Transnational Ecosystem for Digi Green Skilled Postal Employees, Two New Skills Curricula, Pilot delivery of Trainings, a Dual Recognition Scheme in the Postal Sector as well as Dissemination and Exploitation Activities.The Digi Gree NPost Project alliance will create a common learning and skills recognition framework, user friendly and accessible by all postal workers, who are seeking jobs in postal and delivery companies in different countries across the EU. By influencing the current status of the qualification frameworks as well as affecting the Vocational Education and Training (VET) offered in each country, our project will enable mobility of postal workers and to unify therefore the postal sector in the EU.1. JOB CONTEXTThe Intern Projects Assistant will be responsible for:- Working under the supervision and the coordination of the Head of Projects, on a day-to-day basis, assisting on several Projects while reporting to the Head of Projects.- Assisting mainly on the Projects Communications and Accounting segments.- Assisting by preparing the workshops, Conferences, meetings to come in connection with European Union and Universal Postal Union (UPU) projects as well as day-to-day activities of Post Europ where Projects department is involved.- Assisting to identify possible funding sources (Commission, UPU-QSF, etc.) in accordance with Post Europ’s strategy.2. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOBThe Intern Projects Assistant, under the supervision of Head of Projects, will monitor the performance of internal and external projects against targets and deadlines, and prepare related reports for Post Europ’s Head of Projects.Supporting the Assistant Project Manager to prepare submissions to external bodies in respect of projects and project funding.3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIESIn relation to the Projects Communications - Digi Gree NPost Project- Support the development of Project related content, including presentations, video scripts, newsletters and articles, etc.- Promote the Project achievements, events & meetings on the Post Europ website, and on the social media channels dedicated to the Project (Facebook, Linked In, Twitter/X, You Tube).- Under supervision, update and draft regularly the Projects section on the Post Europ website and work related to extranet- Assist with special events and meetings related to the Projects from Communications perspective.In relation to Projects Accounting (Digi Gree NPost Project)- Under Head of Projects supervision, liaise with the Assistant Project Manager on Projects Financial matters- Handling expense reports and invoices following the European Commission and UPU guidelines and rules- Assist in preparing the Financial Reports submission to the European Commission under the supervision of the Head of Projects- Day to day activities4. REQUIREMENTS- University degree (Master’s Degree specialisation in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Business Management and/or Finance).- Knowledge of project management principles desired.- Understanding of European Institutions, UPU, CERP (other international organisations would be an asset)- Able to cope with strict deadlines- Excellent Communications skills, in English and/or French, both written and oral- Analytical and creative thinking- Capacity of understanding of European Commission financial & Communications rules desired- Organised and structured- Team-oriented/people-oriented- Able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exhibit self-motivation (“self-starter”)- Good communication skills- Good writing skills- Ideal starting date, 4th of November 20245. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe candidate must have the right to work in Belgium OR must be eligible for an Internship Agreement (Convention de Stage) which will be signed among the selected candidate, Post Europ and the University/Research Center/Training institute that the candidate is currently attending.- Full-time position at Post Europ Headquarters in Brussels (38 hours/week).- Reimbursement: 1000€ per month6.
