Welcome to the fascinating world of the Compliance department at BNP Paribas Fortis! The Compliance Control & Risk Management (CCRM) team, responsible for independent checks on compliance, helps to develop the future of internal controls within BNP Paribas Fortis.
On a daily basis, the role of the CCRM officers, in close collaboration with all the Compliance Domains and the business, is to ensure strict compliance with the rules and thereby preserve the group’s reputation.
Who is responsible for organising this task? The Compliance Operating Office (COO) is responsible for the methodology, organisation and reporting of compliance checks and risk management activities, among other things. The COO therefore ensures that the compliance function is exemplary and its principles are observed at all levels of the bank.

As Senior Compliance CCRM Officer:
● You provide first and second line checks within the Compliance team, developing and showcasing your expertise in compliance issues.
● You share the results of checks and help to establish and implement an action plan to remedy any points identified as needing attention.
● You are happy to take initiatives to improve the control framework.
● You participate in Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) check and challenge exercises.
● You coordinate the response to incidents and audit and regulatory recommendations within your scope in a conscientious and positive manner.
● You are a good communicator and close to the control/risk entities, thus helping to improve compliance risk management at the bank.
● Your input and analyses will play an essential part in the future development of the role.
● Your participation in the various compliance reports will add the final touches to accurate and useful reports intended for the Bank’s Senior Management.
Your talents and skills
● You have ideally an experience in audit or similar areas, whether in the banking sector or elsewhere.
● You have a critical mind and an eye for detail.
● Your written and verbal communication is impeccable in both French and Dutch. Knowledge of English is required.
● You have a strong team spirit and proactively contribute to a positive environment.
● You constantly look for ways to optimise processes.
● Knowledge of market integrity may be an asset.
● You are comfortable with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
● You hold a Master's degree or have equivalent experience.
