W Racing Team, known as Team WRT, is a professional autosport racing team, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Baudour and Stavelot, Belgium. From April 2025 onwards, our premises shall be in Liège.
Apart from running various international race programs, WRT is also known as a manufacturer through its subsidiary, WRT Manufacturing, which develops roll cages and chassis reinforcement for several of the world’s largest works motorsport programs, including the complete build of some race cars.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Composite Technician to join our dynamic racing team, WRT. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of composite components used in our BMW Hypercars. This freelance role will require both in-house workshop work and on-site support at racing and testing events, ensuring optimal performance and safety of our race cars.
The duties of the Composite Technician will include:
* Manufacture, repair, and maintain composite components such as bodywork, structural elements, and aero parts.
* Perform quality checks on composite parts to ensure they meet strict safety and performance standards.
* Conduct repairs on damaged composite components, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
* Manage the materials inventory, ensuring that raw materials are available for production and repairs.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
* Travel to racing/testing events as part of the trackside support team.
* Carry out on-site composite repairs to damaged bodywork, aero components, or other carbon fiber parts during and after racing sessions.
* Work under time pressure to ensure cars are race-ready following any damage sustained during events or practice sessions.
* Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and other technicians to provide rapid solutions for on-track issues.
* Assist in the setup and packing of composite materials and tools for transport to event locations.
The Composite Technician should have the following desired skillset:
* Previous experience working with composite materials, ideally within motorsports.
* Proficiency in composite manufacturing processes and experience using precision tools and machinery.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, especially under pressure in event situations.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
* Proactive, strong attention to detail and quality assurance focus.
* Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, especially in time-sensitive situations.
* Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision, while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
* A passion for motorsport and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
* Hands-on approach with a flexible “Can Do” & “Will Do” attitude.
* Strong communication skills. Knowledge of English required; German and/or French is helpful.
* A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel frequently for events.
* Be a TEAM PLAYER and have strong interpersonal skills, be motivated to reach goals and objectives of the team.
