Join a groundbreaking project focused on reducing environmental impact in clinker production through innovative and sustainable practices. As part of the ambitious GO4ZERO initiative, our client is undertaking a major Quarry project that involves transitioning clinker production to a more sustainable method. This involves the extraction and processing of limestone, with significant infrastructure developments aimed at supporting long-term sustainability.
As a Civil Works Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the civil engineering aspects of this exciting project, ensuring the construction of vital facilities, including a 2.5 km long curved conveyor belt, and contributing to the success of this transformative initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the civil engineering and structural aspects of the Quarry project, ensuring compliance with project specifications and sustainability goals.
Oversee the planning and execution of Roads and Utility Services, including roadways and infrastructure.
Manage the construction of key facilities, including crushers, intermediate storage warehouses, and the 2.5 km conveyor belt.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and local authorities, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
Ensure all works comply with local and international engineering standards and environmental regulations.
Exigences
To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in civil engineering and construction management, especially in mineral extraction or large-scale industrial projects.
Strong expertise in Roads and Utility Services and the construction of significant infrastructure.
Fluency in French and English, with excellent communication and coordination skills.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Ability to be on-site in the Vaulx, Tournai area throughout the project.
