My client is looking for a Infrastructure Service Project Manager to join the team reporting directly to the Networks Manager.
In this role, you will cooperate with ICT network experts, application owners, project managers or business contacts from members all around Europe. With your background in ICT networks, you will provide essential support to ICT colleagues or business partners. You will also support colleagues or business partners without an IT background to understand topics related to the Communication Networks using non-technical language. Therefore, strong communication skills enhanced with diplomatic essence and the ability to adapt your style to different audiences is of high importance for this role.
This role is not a hands-on role and is suitable for people with adequate technical experience who are looking to transition into, or already working in, a project / network coordinator or network service delivery role without direct technical involvement.
You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work to support a good work-life balance. Travels to participate in meetings or workshops of 1-2 days per month may be required.
Your responsibilities
Responsibilities may be subject to change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects. The following responsibilities and tasks are foreseen:
* Coordinate the resolution of complex technical issues and follows up until resolution is confirmed.
* Coordinate internal and external network engineers to ensure that delivered solution meets requirements, specifications, timelines and business expectations.
* Collaborate with applications’, business and IT communication network experts’ teams within our organisation to discuss, understand and clarify requirements and develop implementation plan for the onboarding of a new service or amendments on the already existing services.
* Organise and coordinate the onboarding process of new services on the network starting from the requirements collection to the new services activation and hand over to operations.
* Produce and maintain up to date any technical and non-technical network related documentation such us procedures, guidelines, design documents and any as built documentation is required to progress the activities in his/her area of responsibility.
* Contribute to the preparation of procurement related documentation.
* Organise feedback collection from all entities participating in the network and analyses/summarizes the received feedback as appropriate.
* Participate in the regular weekly calls representing our team and provide updates on the activities in his/her responsibility.
* Contribute to planning activities and provide expertise opinion to projects or solutions related to the communication networks.
* Contribute to the reporting related to the network activities and projects requested by different bodies and groups.
* Report and work closely with Service Managers to ensure alignment on the ongoing activities.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:
* University degree in information technology is expected.
* Experience in the ICT networks/infrastructure area and/or experience working closely with telecom Service Providers troubleshooting issues on international links provided by multiple service providers.
* Any Cisco certification is a plus.
* SharePoint
* Good understanding of IT Service Management processes (incident, change management, etc.)
* Experience in working with local and remote teams.
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English with ability to deal with large groups of stakeholders, actively listen, negotiate, influence, resolve conflicts, build trust and consensus.
* Motivation and ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
* Committed with ability to work across multiple projects and against tight deadlines.
* Experience working with large groups of stakeholders is a plus.
