Job Description
As a Financial Analyst in a manufacturing environment, you will report to the Financial Controller. As part of the finance team, your main responsibilities will be maintaining & optimizing the standard costing system for our Performance Tapes operations. This will include inventory accounting, analyzing product data, assuring it is recorded accurately and updated on a timely basis. The financial analyst will play a key role during month and quarter end close processes, working closely together with supply chain & operations.
Responsibilities:
* Lead all activities related to product costing
o Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to assess accurate costing information
o Partner with the R&D, Marketing and Operations functions in new product development
o Challenge information received when needed and provide recommendations on costing optimizations
* Support Financial closing requirements and ongoing accounting processes related to the manufacturing and inventory management activities, including but not limited to:
o Inventory control: ensuring all materials are accurately recorded
o Standard cost calculation and maintenance
o Responsible for Bill of Material timely update and accuracy
* Analyze the organization and parts of the organization’s processes with regards to financial performance, report out on the financial performance and identify solutions and opportunities for improvement.
* Lead financial reporting and analysis, as well as ensuring compliance related controls, for:
o Products with quality defects in collaboration with the Quality department
o Inventory count and valuation and inventory adjustments
o Operational scrap
* Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
* Drive digitization and process improvement and documentation
* Support compliance activities and audits: Assist internal and external audits when necessary and support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance controls.
* Coordinate Cycle count process.
* Monthly review of cost center statements and follow-up with the business owners.
* Monitoring the capital spending for the manufacturing plant.
* Business Unit support: ad hoc issues, projects.
Qualifications
* Bachelor in Finance & Accounting. Masters degree is a plus.
* Any relevant working experience is considered as a plus
* Excellent computer literacy including advanced excel knowledge and ERP system experience. Digital acumen (AI, digitization projects) - is considered as a plus
* Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Challenge inputs to get accurate results.
* Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills with the ability to articulate and present complex concepts in a straightforward manner.
* Proactive and independent self-starter, ability to work under pressure and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
* Languages: Dutch and English on business professional level.
