Job Summary
You are responsible for designing and implementing the plan that makes Daikin’s Cloud solutions future-proof. You work together with external partners to further expand on an innovative, stable, scalable, and client oriented cloud platform for the complete range of Daikin products. Your role will be key in developing a lean architecture, balancing cost and performance, for Daikin’s Cloud solutions.
These will be your key tasks:
* Translating the needs around cloud capabilities, IoT link, and data gathering into a functional and effective technical architecture
* Designing, documenting, and visualising the architecture of Cloud services and the related supporting tools
* Working closely together with the product development team and dedicated technology suppliers to make sure that this design is supported and correctly implemented, following the principles and agreements posed by the architecture board
* Analyse risks and possible impact of changes to the architecture
* Closely following the latest technological trends and acting as a “technology evangelist” within the organisation
The ideal candidate
With a Master's degree in ICT and over five years of experience, including at least three as a technical or solutions architect, you possess a strong software development background and deep familiarity with best practices in software development and data modeling. Your expertise extends to microservice-based architectures using containerized applications, API design, data model creation, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS, with a keen focus on cloud security. A genuine interest and understanding of IoT concepts is a significant advantage. Complementing these technical skills, you demonstrate a documentation-oriented approach, process definition abilities, and strong prioritization skills, essential for collaborating with our existing cloud architect. You bridge business and technology with strong business acumen, are solution-oriented, and excel as a team player. Your ability to manage stakeholders, build relationships, think abstractly, and synthesize complex information into clear, understandable presentations for diverse audiences, including upper management, further underscores your suitability for this role.
