Job Purpose
The Technical Expert is the technical reference person in the CAMO, holding outstanding expertise on the subject aircraft type(s). Consequently, he/she monitors complex and/or repetitive defects troubleshooting, perform regular aircraft visits for conditions checks, and acts as technical representative for the CAMO for line maintenance at homebase. He/she may also be assigned sporadically to technical representative role for base maintenance checks. He/ she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the operational reliability of the airline's fleet by providing expert technical guidance and coordination. This role involves management of aircraft recovery when in AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations, analysing technical defects, modifications and collaborating across various departments to enhance operational efficiency and technical reliability.
Your responsibilities
* Monitors and assit in analysing complex and/or repetitive defects troubleshooting;
* Oversight of deferred defects troubleshooting, verify that the required material is ordered as applicable;
* Performs regular aircraft visits for condition checks;
* Advise over best practices, CAMO procedures, etc.;
* At homebase, monitors the execution of maintenance;
* Liaise with MCC and with the MRO on the above items;
* Support CAMO team with specific aircraft type technical expertise;
* Quality & occurrences support for technical issues;
* On-site support for ERP and aircraft recovery;
* Assist the CAMO management for technical projects;
* Technical Representative for base maintenance events as assigned.
* Provide technical support to MCC, GCC, planning, engineering, MRO (Maintenance Repair Organizations), and technical pilots
* Attend and contribute to technical meetings, providing expert insights and recommendations.
* Manage aircraft recovery when in AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations/ modification support.
Your profile
* Minimum of 5-10 years of Line Maintenance experience;
* Must hold a Part-66 B1 or B2 license on a Boeing 747, 767 and/or 777;
* Strong technical acumen with the ability to analyse and resolve complex maintenance issues.
* Able to work under stress and heavy time constraints;
* Fluent English is essential, French and Dutch are considered as advantages;
* Good communication and team working skills;
* Proven communication leadership and negotiating skills;
* Experience with Microsoft Office;
* Flexibility to travel occasionally.
