Your responsibilities
As Product Manager Life Insurance, you will ensure the development, adjustment, positioning and follow-up of our Life insurance products and services (individuals and self-employed), taking into account customer needs, market developments and the competition. In this capacity you will play an essential role in defining and implementing product strategy.
Your responsibilities therefore include:
* Monitoring market trends and developments relating to customer and broker needs and the services proposed by the competition (branches 21, 23, 26). You will detect opportunities for developing or adapting products and identify marketing actions. In this way, every year you will contribute actively to the strategic cycle by providing a structured product analysis that makes a difference in terms of portfolio protection and growth;
* Developing, maintaining and challenging the Athora Belgium Value Proposition in line with strategy while being a force for bringing forward proposals in the light of “market” trends and the Athora Group strengths;
* Overseeing the product development (and/or review) cycle from A to Z, from product design to defining go-to-market strategy, in cooperation with the various players (Compliance, Distribution, Actuarial Function, etc.). Here you will play a primordial role as product manager in aligning different views in the search for a compromise that benefits the company. Product development will be in your hands! This also implies rigour and discipline in managing all documents relating to products and contracts (general and special conditions, financial statements, technical datasheets, insurance proposals, etc.);
* Putting into place a system for monitoring the existing portfolio (Dashboard and KPIs to be developed) so as to ensure structured reporting of its development, anticipate by proactively identifying the risks/opportunities inherent in the activity and propose appropriate mitigation/development actions.
* Being a force for proposals and actively collaborating with the Marketing and Sales Departments to develop marketing campaigns, creating the necessary supports for Sales (including training supports for brokers) and contributing to the commercial launch of new products and services.
* Informing and instructing on products and their evolution, proactively or at the request of colleagues, especially at Sales and Production.
Your profile
* You have at least a Bachelor degree in Marketing or Insurance.
* You have initial experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar position in the insurance sector and in Life products in particular.
* You have sound bases in Life insurance (branches 21 and 23 and their general conditions) and are familiar with insurance legislation and fiscality.
* You have a good knowledge of the product development cycle and the related regulatory requirements. You have already yourself conducted such a cycle in full or in part with concrete results.
* You have experience in project management
* You have an excellent level of French or Dutch with a good knowledge of the other national language and the ability to work in English; you are also easily able to give your opinion and formulate your recommendations both orally and in writing.
* You have an analytical mind.
* You are flexible, open to change and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* You are autonomous and ready to take initiatives.
