What you will work on
The Project Coordinator will be managing data and AI-driven innovation projects. This role primarily focuses on project coordination and structured execution, while also offering functional consulting support in business processes, ERP/CIS/Enterprise systems, and AI applications.
The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem).
UMAX is the brand name of our software solution for water and energy utilities. It automates their business processes and enables them to better engage with their customers. UMAX is a cloud-based solution, built on the powerful Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
As our Project Coordinator, you are responsible for:
* Project Coordination (Primary Focus)
* Plan, track, and execute data and AI-focused innovation projects, such as predictive analytics, AI-driven automation, and intelligent reporting.
* Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery by managing scope, risks, and dependencies of multiple projects simultaneously.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data scientists, AI engineers, analysts, and developers.
* Facilitate meetings, report progress, and maintain clear stakeholder communication.
* Take a leading role in the ideation funnel and innovation pipeline management.
* Functional Consulting (Supporting Role)
* Support clients in identifying AI opportunities and validating data-driven business cases.
* Assist with training, documentation, and post-implementation support for AI solutions.
What you bring
* 3–5 years of experience in KANBAN-style project coordination within data, AI, software, utilities, or enterprise IT.
* Strong project management skills, preferably with experience handling AI implementations and/or data analytics projects.
* Knowledge of AI models, machine learning workflows, ETL processes, or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL) is a plus.
* Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written).
* Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
