Position overview
We are seeking a motivated colleague to reinforce our talented and dynamic QC team in allnex Drogenbos production plant. As Quality Control Technician you will be responsible for performing testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Responsibilities
1. Quality control of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
2. Follow existing standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure that the tests are correctly carried out.
3. Understand the analytical test methods.
4. Manages the different analytical software’s.
5. Introduce the quality control results in the available reporting software (e.g., SAP, Labware) and maintain accurate records of all Quality control data.
6. Respond and react quickly to the detection of testing anomalies and deviations in collaboration with the QA lead and QC Supervisor (performing instrument and method troubleshooting, initiating laboratory-based investigations)
7. Responsible for operation and calibration of lab equipment (like HPLC, GC, Spectrophotometers, Titrators and Viscosimeters)
8. Communicates with coworkers regarding the quality of tested products. A good coordination and transmission of important information between shifts is crucial.
9. Fast and good communication with production managers and production operators to ensure the quality of the produced products.
10. Support and help the Quality manager, QC Lead and QC Supervisor with the investigation of customer claims and production quality issues.
11. Maintain a good housekeeping in the QC lab.
12. Ensure that lab safety standards are maintained.
Required skills and experience
13. Knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC, Titration, Spectrometry, Viscosity)
14. Experience with analytical software is a plus.
15. Ability to work in team as well independently.
16. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
17. Efficiently managing tasks and deadlines.
18. Stress resistant.
19. Detail oriented, paying close attention to small details during testing and inspection.
20. Self-starter with good communication skills. Effective communication is essential for reporting findings and collaboration with colleagues.
21. Good knowledge of Office Software (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook)
22. Knowledge of reporting software’s as Labware and SAP is a plus.
23. Fluent in local languages.
Qualifications
24. Bachelor’s degree in sciences is preferred or equivalent by experience.
25. Previous laboratory experience in a chemical company is a plus.
