Your role: As the BU Director Oncology for Belgium and Luxembourg (BELUX), you will provide a strong leadership specifically including: excellent judgment with strong business acumen, ability to drive outstanding sales performance and marketing excellence, ability to engage with key thought leaders, to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within the BELUX affiliate and our global teams, and to deliver our targets for revenue growth and profitability. You’ll be a member of the BELUX Healthcare Leadership Team, driving our Biopharma business in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of clear and aligned KPI measurements, initiating actionable opportunity and risk analyses at both national and local levels.
* Create and implement comprehensive sales and marketing launch plans, business plans, and strategies based on a thorough understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, future trends, the patient journey, and opportunity assessments.
* Drive the vision strategy and implementation plans, fostering a result-oriented and highly effective field sales and marketing team.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to design and execute market opportunity assessments, situational analyses, and gather insights on the patient journey, customer needs, and brand positioning.
* Propose and execute market research and insights for brand positioning and message development.
* Develop strategic forecast models and insights, and create sales force sizing and structure, targeting plans, alignment planning, and incentive plan designs.
* Oversee Strategic Account Management and training for the sales force, including materials development and product messaging, with the ability to train the sales force as needed.
* Collaborate with global teams on Life Cycle Management (LCM) strategies, representing the BELUX affiliate.
* Lead and develop the Oncology commercial team by defining clear objectives, aligning on stretch goals, allocating resources, monitoring activities, and providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
* Manage the budget and interface with the Controller to ensure the Oncology budget aligns with your P&L responsibilities.
* Actively participate across therapeutic areas and functions as a member of the BELUX Leadership Team.
Who you are:
* Degree in Life Science and/or Business Administration, MBA preferred.
* Healthcare professional by training would be a plus.
* Dutch & English highly appreciated, French would be an asset.
* Requires 10+ years experience in marketing, sales, and operational leadership roles with increasing magnitude of responsibility in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
* 3+ years leading teams and managing and developing people.
* Exceptional business acumen with demonstrated ability to learn and master complex business environment.
* Experience in Oncology is a must.
* Knowledge of the reimbursement landscape for specialty products a plus.
* Experience with products at multiple stages in their life cycle.
* Current understanding of pharmaceutical and promotional compliance guidelines and regulations.
* Previous pharmaceutical sales leadership experience a plus.
* Proven success record for building high performance teams and consistently driving strong results.
* Strategic ability to define a clear path in a complex environment, utilizing strong analytical skills to navigate through complex challenges, overcoming areas of ambiguity and deliver well thought out business solutions to seize opportunities for business growth.
