We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist:
Job Description: As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic and growing team supporting customers in trade compliance and customs topics across various industry verticals. The team is based across Europe servicing customers globally, with a focus on the United Kingdom and Europe.
Position Responsibilities:
* Follow up and communicate regulatory changes related to Trade Compliance and customs.
* Supporting customers on various projects, mainly on tariff classification and duty optimization.
* Assigning tariff codes to products for our customers in various sectors, in the following countries/regions: EU, UK, Switzerland, according to the General Rules of Interpretation. Occasionally, supporting the classification of products for other regions.
* Determining the applicable duty rate and identifying any special measures (for example: additional codes, possible licenses, etc.) applicable to the classification.
* Bi-yearly investigating the tariff changes to the regulations. Leading projects related to re-classifying customer materials when tariff codes have expired or changed.
* Developing and providing training to customers.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in working experience.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in tariff classification.
* An understanding of customs and trade compliance terminology and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Detail oriented and results driven.
* Knowledge in SAP, ERP systems are an advantage.
* Computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite).
* Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage.
