Touch in Touch is recruiting a Technical Project Manager for a multinational leader in the railway industry, which provides highly engineered systems and services to virtually every major rail transit system around the world.
The selected candidate will manage technical proposals, as well as design and applications for both original equipment and aftermarket business (the latter in collaboration with the aftermarket engineer).
The company’s product portfolio includes brakes, HVAC, driver assistance and recording systems, platform doors and gates, among others.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead technical negotiations with the customer and support the Project Manager in all engineering-related matters.
* Oversee the project from initiation to product delivery and implementation, including resolution of any technical issues that may arise.
* Lead and coordinate all engineering-related activities with suppliers, consortium partners, etc.
* Ensure all technical requirements and contractual obligations are covered within the defined engineering scope.
* Ensure product development aligns with the agreed product strategy at the group level.
* Provide monthly project reports to the Project Manager and functional management, in accordance with the agreed list of deliverables.
* Ensure verification activities — such as design reviews and expert assessments — are conducted according to the DPE and verification plan.
* Define and validate technical interfaces with the customer.
* Ensure and oversee cost, quality, and scheduling within the technical scope of the project.
* Coordinate and manage the engineering team, supporting the project team to achieve its goals.
* Define system specifications and coordinate specifications across various engineering disciplines (RAMS, mechanical, electrical, software, hardware, and validation testing).
* Ensure the use of standard products in the project and leverage existing solutions whenever possible.
* Define and lead product validation actions in collaboration with the testing and prototyping teams.
* Execute the design of systems (brakes, doors, PSD, HVAC, etc.).
* Ensure the use of company-defined methods and tools.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* At least 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Bid Engineer, or in a similar role
* Solid experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar tools
* High level of English
* Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project
