Make your mark for patients We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and collaborative Devices Category Manager to join our Internal Manufacturing Procurement Department based in our offices in Brussels / Braine lAlleud, Belgium. About the role Reporting to the Global Category Lead Devices, you will oversee a specific spend area within Global Internal Manufacturing Procurement. This portfolio includes numerous Contract Manufacturers located worldwide and engaged with UCB for development, clinical, and commercial manufacturing. You will lead end to end sourcing projects, manage contracts and commercial life cycle management, and drive value creation initiatives to enhance service quality and supply. Additionally, you will support the development of the Global Packaging category strategy aiming to ensure high service quality, leverage commercial opportunities, mitigate risks, promote sustainability, maintain proper oversight and optimize the Cost of Goods. You will develop partnerships with key and strategic vendors to achieve UCB targets. You will work with You will partner closely with stakeholders from our Patient Supply and Patient Evidence Organization, Legal Affairs, and external Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers. What you will do Lead commercial relationships with established Contract Manufacturers. Provide market dynamics, benchmarking, and market intelligence to support category strategy and identify potential new partners. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and deploy global strategies, facilitated by implementation and transition plans, and aligned with the Category Lead for the spend area. Drive sourcing activities from tender to contracting, including commercial life cycle management (contract amendments, work orders, pricing updates etc.). Lead commercial negotiations. Deliver Master Agreements and maintain an approved list of preferred suppliers. Ensure that partnerships with strategic vendors or within the category are well established to achieve quality, supply resilience, value creation, and innovation targets. Interested? For this position youll need the following education, experience and skills Masters degree (or equivalent). Capable of operating in cross functional, multilingual and multicultural environment. Experience in the medical device or pharma industry is preferred. Must have the ability to independently analyze data and information to draw conclusions and propose recommendations. Excellent communication, negotiation and team player skills. Set challenging objectives for self and others and drive for results. Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
