We are currently looking for a "DevOps Engineer" to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.
The DevOps Engineer will support and maintain the applications, ensuring smooth operations through change management, incident handling, and release management processes. This role is pivotal in coordinating technical tasks, supporting IT users, and assisting in the optimization and automation of tasks to ensure efficient operations of the systems.
Responsibilities
Manage and resolve incidents, problems, and requests, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication
Act as a single point of contact for IT users and the business
Coordinate and manage deployment and release processes
Set up and maintain deployment processes for applications
Coordinate IT service management activities, ensuring seamless integration and rollout of software releases
Document and package releases according to policies
Review current processes and propose automation solutions to streamline operations
Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in tasks and workflows
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to applications
Conduct root cause analysis and propose solutions to resolve technical problems
Produce, review, and update operational documentation
Ensure that all releases and processes are well-documented according to defined standards
Ensure effective communication between internal stakeholders and service providers
Regularly report on progress, risks, and issues. Tools and Technologies:
Use DevOps tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira, Ansible, etc.) for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
Work with databases (Sybase, Oracle) and scripting languages (Unix Bash, Groovy, Python, Java)
Technical skills
DevOps methodologies and release management in a DevOps environment
Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices and experience with incident management
Familiarity with databases (Oracle, Sybase and MongoDB)
Expertise in scripting languages like Unix Bash, Groovy, Python, or Java
Knowledge of web applications (Tomcat, NGINX, Apache) and code versioning systems (GitHub, Azure DevOps)
Profile
Proven experience in release management, including planning, reporting, and coordination of IT services
Proficiency in managing incident analysis, risk assessments, and OS performance monitoring(Linux/Windows)
Experience with Middleware technologies like JBoss EAP or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and new technologies
Proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
Teamwork and coordination with other teams to maintain seamless service delivery
