We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team and support database migrations, cloud environments, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both on-prem and cloud database management, with an emphasis on automation, reporting, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
* Database Migrations: Support migrations from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring smooth transitions and system stability.
* Database Architecture Maintenance: Maintain advanced database architectures, focusing on high availability and disaster recovery for both on-premises and cloud environments.
* Reporting & Automation:
* Leverage Microsoft reporting technologies (PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS), Grafana reporting, and automation tools such as Ansible.
* Develop and configure tools to automate database administration tasks.
* Create dynamic reports for database management systems, highlighting issues and potential improvements.
* Design Reports & Policies: Design standard reports and develop automation policies to regulate database activities.
* Database Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of various database technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
* Software Lifecycle Management: Keep up to date with the software lifecycle management of database products, ensuring they remain current and meet evolving business needs.
* Database Installation & Backups: Perform routine database installations, re-configurations, and backups in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Requirements:
* Cloud Database Expertise: Proficient in cloud database solutions such as Azure SQL Database, with experience in automation to ensure scalable and efficient deployments.
* Database Administration: In-depth expertise in database administration, covering both cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong focus on security best practices.
* Migrations: Proven experience in migrating databases from on-premises to cloud environments seamlessly.
* Backup & Recovery: Hands-on experience with backup and recovery strategies, including automation with PowerShell and CI/CD integration for robust and secure database infrastructures.
* Microsoft SQL Server: Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server in both on-premises and cloud environments.
* Advanced Architecture: A good understanding of advanced high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including server clustering and virtual infrastructures.
