This is an interesting opportunity for you!Further information: valentine.laridnois@professionals.randstad.be- key responsibilitiesAs Head of Process Department, you will be responsible for managing a team of +/- 10 people located in Belgium and India. The process department is part of a larger design office, collaborating with different disciplinary teams. The main objective of the process team is to develop and optimize the process control and safety of the electrolysis system. Main responsibilities: 1/ leadership and team management:- Manage and lead process teams both in Belgium (hierarchical link) and in India (functional link with the head of the process department).- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to ensure high performance within both teams.- Establish and maintain strong collaboration protocols and effective interfaces with other disciplines and project teams.- Build and manage a network of engineering subcontractors to support team capacity and expertise.- Be responsible for the adoption of a continuous improvement system, promoting quality, efficiency and productivity, in line with company objectives.2/ Process design and safety:- Ensure reliable process design in line with international standards and industry best practice.- Maintain process safety in electrolysis systems, prioritizing safety in all aspects of design and operation.- Develop, implement and continuously improve internal design practices, standards, models and process philosophies- Ensure that thorough technical risk assessments are carried out and mitigated as part of the process design lifecycle- qualifications- - Master's degree in engineering - At least 10 years' experience in process control and safety for complex industrial systems- Experience in team management - Experience in hazardous areas, Oil&Gas or chemical industries- Knowledge of international standards and codes (mainly EN, ISO and ASME)- Experience of simulation software (Symmetry, ASPEN, etc.)- Fluency in English (reading, speaking, listening)- At ease in a dynamic, fast-growing environment with international exposure.- Leadership and team management skills, with an emphasis on promoting team spirit and achieving project objectives.- Willingness to travel abroad on short-term assignments as required.Ability to develop and implement internal standards and process design documentation, including: process design basis, process flow diagram (PFD), utility flow diagram (UFD) and process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), description of interlocks, cause and effect diagram, operating instructions and functional analyses, mass and heat balance, material selection diagram (MSD), writing specifications for safety requirements Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), ATEX zoning calculations, etc.
