To strengthen our Information Technology team, based at the HQ, in Brussels, Belgium we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Enterprise Data Security Architect.
The global role of Data Security Architect is a Senior role within the department of IT Security, Risk management, Data Privacy and Compliance.
The Data Security architect is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest data security standards, systems and best practice security products.
As a senior member of the IT Security team, the Data Security Architect’s everyday responsibilities includes cultivating a culture of data security awareness and arranging continuing education of personnel and project teams to ensure data security policies are up-to-date and always adhered to.
As a Data Security Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing robust security solutions to safeguard UCB’s assets and information.
The Data Security Architect will have to collaborate and work with different departments in and outside IT.
What you’ll do
1. Design data infrastructure patterns to extract and organize data, ensuring compliance with UCB Access Management systems, standards, and policies.
2. Evaluate internal and external data sources and flows for security considerations, implementing necessary measures to safeguard data integrity.
3. Collaborate with various departments to understand their data security requirements and establish effective data security protocols.
4. Support data office domain leads in implementing and maintaining data security measures.
5. Enhance security team competencies by planning solution delivery and providing technical guidance.
6. Develop and maintain security architecture aligned with business objectives and industry best practices, including defining policies, standards, and best practices for data governance and leakage prevention.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
7. Master’s degree with a Computer Science background or Cyber Security degree. Security related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc.
8. Over 10 years of IT experience, specializing in cyber security
9. Deep understanding and expertise in data security, leakage, and protection
10. Proficient in creating and analyzing data flows, as well as implementing Data Leakage Prevention programs
11. Knowledgeable in ISO 27001/27002, NIST, NIS2, and other frameworks
12. Extensive background in information and cyber security, including risk management and defense strategies
13. Skilled in translating IT threats into actionable, risk-based plans, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities
