Automation Electrical Engineer (Pharma)
Freelance Automation/Electrical engineer sought for renowned manufacturing company within the bio-pharmaceutical domain. This concerns a position to support a new product development project for new pharmaceutical production equipment. The project is a few months in, but still very much at an early development phase.
Location - Flemish Brabant
Start date - As soon as possible (ideally February start still)
Contract length - Until end of 2025 with possibility to extend
Type - Freelance or external payroll contract via local partner
Hours per week - 40 (fulltime on-site working)
The R&D department is responsible for the development of process equipment and mixers in multidisciplinary teams. This R&D System Engineer/ project technical lead will support the internal development team with the development of this new system.
The consultant will support this multidisciplinary development project with the following expertise required:
* Expertise on Eplan Tool (Or similar with eagerness to learn Eplan) – Wiring diagrams and pneumatic design
* Expertise on component selection, power calculation, …
* Knowledge on building prototype panels with proper certifications (BA4 or BA5)
* Knowledge on building 3D cabinet CAD design
* Knowledge on relevant regulations/standards (IEC-61010, IEC-60204-1, IEC-61326-1, RED, CE, NRTL, …)
* Understanding GAMP5 (Requirements->Testing)
* Open to collaborate in risk assessments
Furthermore, we’re looking for someone with:
* Experience working in pharmaceutical domains (GAMP5 experience required)
* Fluency in English (this is a highly international environment)
* Based in Flemish Brabant (greater Leuven area)
* BSc.+ in relevant field (Industrial/Electrical engineering)
* Nice to have: Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal for S7-1500 and WinCC Unified).
